The California Teachers Association is calling for March 4 to be a day of action for our public schools. "Start the day for Students" is this Thursday. Check out Stand Up for Schools for more info.

don't protest the consequences. protest the causes. Overly optimistic financial management at the state of California and it school districts brought us to where we are. We spent too much and promised too much pretending that revenues would run up forever. We also said we could afford to take on millions of poor and low skill immigrants and their large families. We were wrong.
